Washington’s Food Fight: The Debate Over GMO Labels

The labeling debate for biotech foods is heating up, and nowhere more so than in Washington State, where consumers will soon be voting on Initiative 522, which would make GMO labels mandatory.

TVW, Washington’s public affairs network, aired a documentary examining the issue yesterday. They interviewed a number of consumers, stakeholders and farmers on both sides of the debate, including our own president Neal Carter (particularly 33-39mins into the video).

The hour long film is publicly available online, free of cost, on their website and directly below.

Additionally, we encourage you to read more about our position on labeling, and our decision to voluntarily label our nonbrowning Arctic® apples.
