This month, a long-awaited compilation on biotech foods has been published – “The Lowdown on GMOs: According to Science”!
If the name sounds familiar to you, it’s with good reason as this e-book was compiled by former biotech-opponent Fourat Janabi, now author/photographer/blogger, who interviewed OSF president Neal Carter earlier this year about OSF and Arctic® apples. This Q&A was part of a series which included a scientist (Dr. Kevin Folta), family farmer (Brian Scott), and ag-biotech company (us!); all of which we shared in our blog back in April.
The Q&A series is included in the full publication, but it’s really just the tip of the iceberg as the compilation includes unique perspectives on ag-biotech from numerous experts, including Biofortified founders Karl Haro von Mogel and Anastasia Bodnar, scientists Drs. Alan McHugen, Steve Savage and Cami Ryan, former biotech opponents such as environmentalist Mark Lynas and blogger Julee K (Sleuth4Health) and that’s just a few of the names!
The reviews have already started coming in, with Mary Mangan, PhD stating “It’s hard to find this level of quality discussion on this topic around the internet, where murky misinforming fear-mongers overwhelm the discussion.”
The Lowdown on GMOs is described as “a book for those who want to know what the science actually says, where the evidence actually leads and the potential implications radiating from our actions.” And the best part of all? It’s 100% free!
You can download the full book for HTML, Epub, Kindle or as a PDF right here – and we strongly encourage you to do just that!
